Dear Taehyung,

Happy Birthday.

I don’t know how to explain what you mean to me without sounding a little emotional, but maybe that’s okay today. You’ve been with me through so many quiet moments — nights where I looked at the moon a little longer, days where your voice felt like comfort, and times where I didn’t even realise I was leaning on you, but I was.

Loving you never felt loud. It felt safe. Like art, like music playing in another room, like something that stays even when everything else changes. Sometimes I wonder how future me will feel when I hear your songs or see your smile — I think I’ll always feel this same softness, this same gratitude.

I hope you’re healthy, loved, and surrounded by warmth today. I hope life treats you gently. Thank you for giving so much of yourself to the world, even when we don’t know how to give it back properly.

I’ll keep cheering for you, quietly and sincerely, for a long time.
